Everyone has a purpose in life. As a values-based organization, John Paul II Center for Special Learning encourages children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to explore their purpose and reach for goals through unique special education and social programming.

Students ages three to 21 are able to learn and grow throughout our School-Age Program, with the later years focusing on transition and life skills.

New Story Schools

Hogan Learning Academy

Our program for students with developmental disorders is designed to address the unique needs of autism and other developmental disorders through the utilization of empirically-based methodology as a basic approach. The program offers an environment which fosters interaction with others, develops communication skills, and reduces stereotypic and/or self-destructive behavior. Educational and clinical interventions are designed to complement each other and address each student’s unique needs.

Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES)

The Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages five to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. CARES offers an environment that focuses on teaching each student based on his or her unique strengths and needs.
